Ep. 17: John Ryan

This immensely talented songwriter has quickly become a household name in the pop songwriting world. Credits on Maroon 5's "Don't Wanna Know", Pitbull's "Fireball", and Jason Derulo's "Wiggle" are just a few of the reasons. Perhaps the most notable is his longstanding work with British boy band, One Direction. If you've ever heard a One Direction song on the radio, you've most definitely heard this songwriter's handiwork. He has an astounding 39 One Directions cuts and has co-written all of the singles from their last three albums including “Drag Me Down”, "Best Song Ever", and "Story of My Life”. And The Writer Is...John Ryan!

After a stint at the famous Village Studios in Los Angeles, this songwriter serendipitously crossed paths with a person who would one day become one of his closest and most frequent collaborators. That same person, Ryan Tedder of OneRepublic, eventually signed him to a publishing deal, where he quickly began racking up credits on hits such as OneRepublic's "Counting Stars", Demi Lovato's "Neon Lights", and Ellie Goulding's "Burn." For nearly a decade thereafter, this songwriter continued to hone his craft and forge his own path, eventually earning his very own Grammy and BMI Songwriter of The Year Award. And The Writer Is...Noel Zancanella!

Ep. 15: The Script

This band is undoubtedly one of biggest groups ever to rise out of Ireland. Ever since the 2008 release of their #1 self-titled debut album, featuring massive hit songs "Breakeven" and "The Man Who Can't Be Moved," they've gone on to sell out stadiums and arenas across the UK and much of Europe. They're well known in the community for their songwriting prowess, and especially for their earnestness in storytelling. And The Writers Are...Danny O'Donoghue and Mark Sheehan of The Script!

Ep. 14: Luke Laird

To call this songwriter's work profound is a gross understatement. His name is practically synonymous with the term "country radio." Just this past year he earned his 23rd #1 Country Single on the Billboard Charts with Luke Bryan's "Fast". A few of his other notable collaborations include Carrie Underwood's "Last Name", Kenny Chesney's "American Kids", and Blake Shelton's "Hillbilly Bone (feat. Trace Adkins)." Raised in Pennsylvanian countryside, and now based in Nashville with his family, this writer has become one of the most respected and sought-after songwriters in modern country music. And The Writer Is...Luke Laird!

Originally from Oakland, California, this writer-producer has built an incomparable resume over the past decade. Just this past year alone, he was nominated for Producer of The Year at the Grammy's AND announced his very own imprint label under Atlantic, Nice Life Recording Company. When he's not perfecting one of his own projects, he's shaping other artists' careers with notable hits such as Jason Derulo's "Talk Dirty", Meghan Trainor's "NO", and Twenty One Pilots' "Ride." Still, he does it all with the humblest attitude and warmest personality. And The Writer is...Ricky Reed!
